With Foldylock on your Bike everything will look nicer

How it all began.......

Well… We can't exactly pinpoint the moment we thought to ourselves: That's a great idea! Let's try to make it happen! But sometime around 4 years ago we started to formulate the Foldylock idea in our discussions. Living in Tel Aviv certainly raises the chances that bicycles will come up as a discussion topic…Basically everyone you know in the city has had his bike stolen from him. As a group of bicycle fanatics we talked about how hard it is to find a lock that will satisfy you these days. In modern urban lifestyle everything comes down to fashion and quality. Bike theft is all over the place and good, reliable locks are really expensive and tend to be quite unfashionable. Why can't we find a quality lock with the elegance of a well designed product? Just as the first glimmer of an idea began to come to life, one of our best friends, Dan, told us that he just saw the cinema classic The Bicycle Thief by Vittorio De Sica and this led to think about us and all our ideas about bicycles. Dan said why don't you guys go for it…I guess he just got tired of listening to all of our fantasies on a weekly basis…. After a while Dan's remark still echoed in our minds and we decided to go for it. We stared brainstorming about the concept till we had a clear vision of what we wanted to create.

We have sourced a few different suppliers (Steel, Aluminum, Plastic, CNC…) each excellent in his field of expertise, so they will help us guarantee that each part will be manufactured with great precision so it all combines to the great lock we envisioned. Like in nature we fully believe that great parts create an extraordinary whole!

What makes Foldylock such a great lock?

Foldylock is made out of six hardened steel links covered with plastic reinforced with fiberglass to protect your bike frame from scratches. Connecting rivets are designed with VSR rivet technology against drilling. Foldylock is rust free and has an anti drilling cylinder that is protected in a hardened steel housing.
